Reality +
Community Creator

What Did I do for Reality+?
I went into the community creator role at the behest of the company whilst they were on a hiring freeze as they needed some help in the marketing department. It started off just being a role to create longer form patch note and update content both on livestreams and pre-recorded.

When our social media manager left, I also took over that role despite having no experience in it at all. I planned and created content, managed community (including in Discord), posted, adapted content across multiple platforms, and scheduled using Hootsuite.

I also created a whole puzzle based release marketing campaign which was designed to get the heavily engaged community further involved in the game and the world space of the game. Unfortunately the higher ups didn't want to go forward with it after I'd completed the planning and creation of it but it is still a solid campaign.

VIDEO EDITING
I edited every video in Premiere Pro and After Effects. This included long and short form content

Scriptwriting
I wrote the script for every update and patch notes video before running it past the approval stages before making each video.

Graphic Creation
I had to create every motion graphic for the update videos including lower thirds, frames and animated backgrounds.

Social Media Management
I planned, scheduled and posted across Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube as well as managing and engaging with the community.

Update Videos- Sep 2023-Feb 2024
What Did I Do?
This was my trial third stage of interview with Ibby. I had already had a phone interview and an in person interview prior to this but this was to see whether I could write good questions and have good on-camera presence.

I did all of the tasks below and Ibby and myself decided to go forward working on iterative design so that each batch of videos was better than the next, whether that be improvements to quality, questions, themes or graphics. It was a challenge to find a balance between what Ibby wanted and following design rules but we ended up with something that Ibby was happy with.

Wrote 12 restaurant questions based on 3 topics with follow ups

Travelled to the studio and recorded with Ibby

Edited and colour graded the long form video

Increased volume of audio (recording was very quiet)

Added template graphics for lower thirds etc

Created 20 shorts from the long form video

implemented any feedback, documented work & submitted
