IBBY ASLAM COACHING
SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENTER & CREATOR
What Do I Do For Ibby?
I've been working for Ibby for a minimum of 10 hours a week since late January 2025. I found his job ad on LinkedIn for a television presenter which sounded interesting and after a brief phone call, we met in Manchester. He set me a task to write up some podcast questions and then a week later, we recorded for 2 hours.

I then edited the footage into a long form video and a set of short, going back and forth with Ibby to attain the style of short form content he preferred.

Since then, I have advised him on strategy, video edited long and short form content, written questions, proposed video ideas for both his personal and restaurant focussed channels, I added contrast to videos, cleaned up the audio and created graphics and motion templates. I advised on fonts, colour contrast and styles and although he didn't always go with my suggestions, he appreciated them a lot and loved my knowledge.

VIDEO EDITING
From short to long form content, I've edited anything that Ibby needed. I've advised him on pacing, tone and how best to clip sections together to protect his brand and identity.

PRESENTING
I very quickly developed a good on screen relationship with Ibby, bringing an energy and vibrance to the podcasts and digging deeper into his vague answers. Ibby wanted someone who could challenge him and his ideals. That's me.

MOTION GRAPHICS
I've replicated designs for thumbnails and graphic elements from pieces of media that Ibby likes. I've provided different variations and added smooth transitions to Ibby's liking and brief.

STRATEGY ADVICE
I've given Ibby the next steps he needs to really connect with his audience such as creating marketing and brand pillars and audience personas. I've also informed him of what isn't working on his socials such as tiktok.

Restaurant Podcast 1- Jan-Feb 2025
What Did I Do?
This was my trial third stage of interview with Ibby. I had already had a phone interview and an in person interview prior to this but this was to see whether I could write good questions and have good on-camera presence.

I did all of the tasks below and Ibby and myself decided to go forward working on iterative design so that each batch of videos was better than the next, whether that be improvements to quality, questions, themes or graphics. It was a challenge to find a balance between what Ibby wanted and following design rules but we ended up with something that Ibby was happy with.

Wrote 12 restaurant questions based on 3 topics with follow ups

Travelled to the studio and recorded with Ibby

Edited and colour graded the long form video

Synced and edited audio (recording was very quiet)

Added template graphics for lower thirds etc

Created 20 shorts from the long form video

implemented any feedback, documented work & submitted

Social Media Secrets- Jan-Feb 2025
What Did I Do?
This was the same recording session as the previous video. This one has the Logo in a different position and smaller subtitles at Ibby's request. He wasn't too sure about the font so we decided that in the next batch of videos, we would use a different font.

This batch also had fewer shorts as he wanted me not to clip everything that was interesting but instead only clip the things straight after the question was asked to ensure that context was given to the viewer. I don't believe this was 100% necessary as competitors post out of context clips relatively often and it isn't too much of a jump to figure our what the content is about but we've stuck to this rule moving forward.

Nancy's Shorts- Mar 2025
What Did I Do?
Although I wasn't in this video or at the studio when it was recorded, nor did I write the questions, Ibby sent me Nancy's full video and audio footage from their shoot together and I edited them in the same way I did ours.
Ibby decided however that he wanted the subtitles to be the same colour as the logo on his hat, so I changed them for him. He also wanted a like and subscribe banner to pop up so I quickly put one together in the same style as the logo and just wipe transitioned it is since speed was the main focus for Ibby, Animation will come later.

Kaitya's Shorts- Mar 2025
What Did I Do?
Although I wasn't in this video or at the studio when it was recorded, nor did I write the questions, Ibby sent me Kaitya's full video and audio footage from their shoot together and I edited them in the same way I did ours and Nancy's.
Ibby wanted the graphics changing to a bright orange colour and he wanted the UK location bar added to the top of the logo as well and changed the subtitles to the same font as the logo, before making them orange as well. The only thing I did bring up for Ibby to keep in mind however is that this colour scheme was very similar to that of a certain adult entertainment website...

Restaurant Podcast 2- Mar 2025
What Did I Do?
I created the questions for this podcast, then travelled to the studio to record it and edited the shorts once I got home. Ibby also had some input to the questions as he re-worded some of them to fit the response he wanted to give to them.
Ibby now wanted to change the graphics to a gold colour so I changed the logo, subscribe banner and subtitles to a gold version which he much preferred. He also wanted the subtitles to be smaller so I amended that too.

We also tried a more memey approach to one of the edits- Ibby hasn't posted it.

Wrote the Questions

Travelled to the studio and presented

Edited into shorts

Changed Graphics to gold

Added Contrast to the image and edited audio

Created 35 shorts from the full video

Showing Ibby How I Edit Shorts
What Did I Do?
Ibby wanted me to screen record how I set up a project, sync the audio and video and then cut a long form video into shorts- suitable for someone who had never used premiere pro before.

I went through my process, trying to remind Ibby of any keyboard shortcuts I used as well.

Used OBS to screen record

Set Up a Premiere Project

Synced the audio and video

Showed how to resize, create and export a short

Informed of keyboard shortcuts

Uncensored Questions Podcast- Apr 2025
What Did I Do?
Ibby set me the task of making an uncomfortable questions video. I would create the questions and he wouldn't know what they were until we were filming. I was allowed to ask anything but he also requested for me to ask about relationships and love life- copying a video from one of his competitors, Mike Thurston.
I wrote the questions, presented and edited the video before creating 3 trailers. One based on the politics of the video (drawing in people with certain political beliefs- possible rage bait) and two more focussed on the relationship side of things at Ibby's request.

I suggested that he post the political trailer first to bring in traffic 2 days before the video is released, then the relationship style one the day before release and then release the video and the red alert trailer at the same time- None of these have been posted as of yet.

Wrote all of the questions

Presented, edited and added contrast to the video

Created 3 trailers from different perspectives

recreated Mike's thumbnail

Motion & Graphics- Jan-Apr 2025
What Did I Do?
I've had to create a lot of graphics, both static and motion for Ibby over my time with him as he didn't have any when I joined his team.

From initial logos to speedy first draft end screens to replicating pieces of media he likes with a twist in his style, I quickly put graphics together for him to gradually improve upon in the future.
My most recent addition being the graphic in movement to the blue version on Ibby's podium video before he got bored of the design and asked me to copy the lower thirds from a show he was watching instead.

Created Graphics

Added animation and motion

Edited to Ibby's Liking

Changed when he was bored of the designs

Sound designed to Ibby's liking

Advertisements- Jan-Apr 2025
What Did I Do?
Ibby had a lot of creative control over these as he wanted the specific text in specific colours in specific places on the videos so I just adjusted as needed.

Personally I think that it's an awful lot of text on some of these that isn't necessarily needed but it all worked out in the end.

Edited and added contrast to the video

WIP Podium Shorts- Apr 2025
What Did I Do?
Ibby saw a podium in a presentation hall in London and decided to seize the opportunity. He was asked some questions and then asked me to edit them into shorts with as much context as possible.

So far I've edited the clips but Ibby wants a new lower third instead of our usual graphics and he wants me to add some keyframed movement to the edits as well to engage people's attention.

Got the Video Files

Edited and colour graded

WIP Testimonial Videos - Apr 2025
What Did I Do?
This is the initial first draft of the testimonial video compilation that I made. I got the videos, edited them and added the Ibby Aslam Logo to match the video at the start.

The feedback I got from Ibby was that he wants the new lower thirds graphic on this video instead of the logo and then he wants each restaurant owner to be introduced as such with their first name in each video. He also wanted some of the testimonials cutting short and then 4 more compilations making.

Video Concepts- Feb 2025
What Did I Do?
While Ibby was away in London, he asked me to come up with a couple of ideas for videos that we could do to freshen up his channel and stagnant audience. I had a look at what similar channels were doing well in the space as well as channels geared more towards the younger audiences. At the time, Ibby was not very clear as to who his target audience were other than they were restaurant owners or wanted to become restaurant owners. I took this a step further and looked into how he could inspire younger people to need his services in the future. I made this presentation and the ideas within it in one morning.

Brainstormed various Ideas

Researched the current scene

Got together examples and quality bars

Created the powerpoint

Presented it to Ibby with timelines
